Determine Your Level Of Care
Alcohol and Other Drug (AODA) Assessments
You may have been ordered an AODA assessment for a legal problem or for family law. Either way Dr. Terri is Licensed in Wisconsin to help you out. Usually, AODA assessments are requested by lawyers, judges, employers, family members or schools after an event such as an accident, legal charge or changes in behavior.
The assessment will last one to two hours and will be comprehensive. Dr. Terri does a thorough job of not only assessing level of treatment, but also assessing treatment methods and modalities that may help you. Together you will discuss the impact of alcohol and/or drugs on your life, the impact of these substances on your relationships, job, etc., and your overall well-being. At the end of the assessment, Dr. Terri will discuss the findings and recommend appropriate treatment, if applicable. These recommendations can be voluntarily followed, or they may be enforced by the court, depending on your results.
Treatment recommendations may include:
- Drug or alcohol education classes
- Intensive Outpatient treatment
- Residential treatment
- Individual, couple or family counseling
You’ll receive all recommendations and findings in a detailed written report. The report can be sent to third-parties, at your request, such as a judge or lawyers. The report will not be shared with your medical insurance provider.
